Webinar by Reviva Labs recorded June 15, 2022 - It’s a new season, which makes it a perfect time to adjust your routine and to boost the vitality of your skin. Discover tips for choosing the right eye product, or helping with seasonal allergies and any resulting skin changes.
After months of gray, cold weather, Spring is finally here! To make sure your skin is ready for the new season, here are some skincare tips to help your skin make the transition:
Pick-me-up #1 – Don’t skip exfoliation
Cold weather can make the skin dry, and flaky. So, if you weren’t using an exfoliator during the winter, now is definitely the time to start. Exfoliating regularly gives your skin a natural glow and helps all your other skincare products penetrate more deeply into the skin.
An easy way to incorporate exfoliation into your routine is to cleanse with Reviva Labs’ Glycolic Acid Facial Cleanser and Glycolic Facial Toner. Glycolic acid is a natural ingredient sourced from sugar cane that effectively and gently sloughs away dead skin cells to reveal smoother, brighter skin.
Another way to get your glow going is to use Light Skin Peel Mild Exfoliant at least once a week. This clay-based product uses a combination of crushed almond meal, salicylic acid and fruit enzymes to even out your skin tone and smooth its texture.
Pick-me-up #2 – Change your moisturizer
Applying rich creams and lotions can feel so soothing in the winter, but as the temperatures and humidity increases, they feel heavy, greasy and occlusive. So we recommend switching to a lighter moisturizer like Alpha Lipoic Acid Vitamin C Ester DMAE Cream or Calming Rejuvenation Cream.
Alpha Lipoic Acid Vitamin C Ester DMAE Cream is a lightweight cream that’s chock full of potent antioxidants to help combat and defend against environmental damage. Plus, it helps firm and reduce the appearance of fine & wrinkles that may have popped up during the cold, dry months with important firming ingredients like peptides and DMAE.
Another lightweight option for Spring is Calming Rejuvenation Cream. Natural oils like Rosehip, Grapeseed and Sea Buckthorn drench your skin with essential fatty acids to help improve the skin’s barrier while Manuka Honey and Carrot Seed Oil help calm the skin.
Pick-me-up #3 – Add a Brightening Serum
Spending more time outside leaves our skin vulnerable to environmental damage. So as we head into the spring and summer months, make sure to add a serum specifically formulated to help prevent and correct sun damage. Try our High Potency Vitamin C Serum. Not only will it help prevent environmental damage with multiple forms of vitamin C, it also evens and brightens the skin.
If hyperpigmentation or dull skin is a serious concern, use Dark Spot Brightening Serum. This unique formula features a whopping 8 different proven brightening ingredients, including skincare gems like niacinamide, glycolic acid, kojic acid and resveratrol just to name a few. One more Spring tip – after you’ve swapped your winter clothing for your spring wardrobe, don’t forget to check your vanity for expired skincare items. Throw out any out of date products and wash your makeup brushes and sponges.
