My Reviva Labs Skin Care Journey

I was first introduced to Reviva Labs in 2004. At the time, my company was providing marketing and graphic design services, and we dealt directly with Reviva’s founder, Stephen Strassler. Every time someone from our office would meet with Stephen, he’d send products back for me to try. And once I started using Reviva Labs skin care, I never stopped.

From Department Store Brand to Natural Skin Care

When I discovered Reviva, I was using skin care from a popular department store brand. It was fine: At the time, I wasn’t really experiencing any signs of aging skin, and I wasn’t having breakouts, so I figured I was taking good care of my skin.

Once I started learning more about skin care, I realized how much better I could be taking care of my skin. Some of the preservatives in the products I was using were less than desirable, and the “active” or highlighted ingredients were in lower concentrations than the “filler” ingredients. Plus, these products weren’t cheap; I wasn’t using the most expensive brands, but I wasn’t skimping either. But after trying several Reviva products, I was determined to take better care of my skin.

Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester, DMAE Crème

The very first Reviva product I used regularly was the Alpha Lipoic Acid Vitamin C Ester DMAE Crème. It’s been one of Reviva’s best sellers since long before I knew about it – and with good reason.

Reviva’s Alpha Lipoic Acid Vitamin C Ester DMAE Crème is my “desert island” product; the product I would always take with me if I could only take one. The product I will use even on a late night when I’m too tired to do anything else. It makes my skin look and feel hydrated and healthy, and I imagine I’ll use it forever.

Creating a Reviva routine

As mentioned, it seemed like I was trying new Reviva products constantly. At this point, I’ve tried everything in our current product line – plus a few things over the years that didn’t make it out of the development stage. And like some of you out there, I tried products in the past that I loved – but that have since been discontinued.

But one constant is that I’ve always been able to build a great skin care regimen using only Reviva Labs products. Over the years I’ve tried a few “trendy” brands or products – and some of them I’ve liked a lot. But I always came back to Reviva.

While it seems like a new skin care brand launches every week (or even more frequently), they’re not all what they seem. There seems to be a lot of focus on fancy packaging and slick branding (which I can appreciate as a marketing professional), but in a lot of situations it’s a case of style over substance – the products themselves are disappointing.

Becoming Part of the Reviva Team

Through a series of events, I came to work directly for Reviva in 2018. And while I knew a fair amount about the brand before, my eyes were really opened once I became entrenched in the day-to-day operations.

First, Reviva is truly a “family” company. It was originally founded by a husband & wife, Stephen and Judy Strassler. But over the years, other husbands and wives, mothers and children, cousins, brothers, sisters – any family connection you can imagine – have worked side by side at Reviva Labs.

And while Stephen and Judy have since passed away, those of us who worked with them over the years keep Reviva running with the same principles and values Stephen and Judy believed in.

When we’re formulating or manufacturing our products, we focus on quality ingredients that will create the best, most effective products that will be safe for the majority of skin types. To that end, everyone working at Reviva – men and women in every department, of every skin type – are given product samples to evaluate and provide feedback. We are our own best customers – and our own harshest critics. Plus, the more we use our products, the more we learn about them, and the more we can help you – our customer – when you call or email to ask for help or recommendations.

The Best Thing About Reviva Labs Skin Care

Since 2004, I’ve used Reviva products almost exclusively. Throughout my pregnancy, when my skin was generally healthy, Reviva products managed to keep me “extra glowing.” When I had an infant who never let me sleep, Reviva products helped me look like I was more well-rested than I was. And even now, when there’s seldom time to apply makeup other than a swipe of mascara, Reviva products keep my skin looking healthy enough that makeup isn’t necessary.

And, while I’m spoiled with access to our products at a discount, I have purchased them many times over the years – and the prices are great! Reviva’s not the cheapest skin care brand out there, but the quality of the products for the price can’t be beat.
