Mexico has become the first country in North America to ban animal testing for cosmetics, according to Plant Based News – as reported by Cosmetics & Toiletries

Mexico

Reviva Labs has long been opposed to animal testing. We’re very proud that we have never tested on animals and that we’re passionate about working with like-minded suppliers. More importantly, we have supported industry efforts to change the hearts and minds of the U.S. and countries around the world.

Cosmetics & Toiletries reported that Mexico is banning animals testing

In an online posting, Sept 3, “Report: Mexico Bans Animal Testing for Cosmetics” Cosmetics & Toiletries conveyed a story by The Puerto Vallarata Daily News (PVDN) that Mexico’s Senate had unanimously passed a bill to ban animal testing – and that it should soon be signed by the executive branch. Moreover, labeling may begin to indicate that “no animal testing” was used – which will help identify animal-friendly brands to consumers. It’s a tremendous advancement for the beauty industry, for Mexico, and most importantly for animals.

Reviva Labs and animal lovers around the world have been waiting a long-time for news of this type. Technological advances in testing and computer simulations have long negated the need for animal testing. But it appears that the real world may finally be catching up with science. The hope is for an animal testing free future – and North America, by way of Mexico, just got one step closer to this reality.
