A wide range of producers describe disodium laureth sulfosuccinate as being a delicate, non-irritating emulsifier that produces an abundance of foam. It is suggested for mild cleansers that are ideal for delicate or infant skin. This compound is a salt of ethoxylated lauryl alcohol half ester of sulfosuccinic acid. Unlike sulfates which are small molecules, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate is a large molecule that is not capable of entering the scalp or skin.
