Four must have skin care products if stranded on a deserted island

Yes, this is a bit of a silly exercise since skin care would be the least of your worries if you were a castaway. But we like to amuse ourselves in the office and so we took a quick poll. The quiz was simple, what four Reviva products would you want if shipwrecked? There was only one caveat, our Sun Protective Moisturizer was excluded – it was too easy a choice. In the end, the desired products varied widely but eventually a few standout skin care products emerged.

#1 Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester, DMAE Crème

Our Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester, DMAE Crème came in first place. This antioxidant rich formula that combines moisturizing along with firming and toning seemed to be a clear favorite. It’s popularity among the marooned at Reviva corresponds with it being one of our long-time best sellers. At the start, the predictions gravitated towards one of our hydrating products. But in our ranked choice voting tally our ALA, Vit C, DMAE Crème made it to the top.

#2 Elastin Collagen Body Lotion

Coming in at a very close second place is Reviva’s Elastin Collagen Body Lotion. Everyone seemed to agree as votes were tallied that keeping your skin hydrated and toned would be crucial during survival struggles. Some even joked that after spending sunny sand laden days isolated on an island that a little body lotion would be a pure delight. This item is a favorite for application after a shower. So, we’ll assume slathering it on after a dip in the ocean would be equally enjoyable.

#3 Eye Complex Firming Creme

This simple, yet effective, multi-award-winning eye product is a good choice. Our Eye Complex Firming Creme is wonderfully moisturizing and will keep your eye area looking fresh and young. It will help stave off the crow’s feet you’d be prone to as you squinted constantly in the island sun. And, if your eyes started to look a little tired, it’s a terrific pick-me-up for the entire eye area. It also doubles as a good overall facial moisturizer too – so it makes sense.

#4 Vitamin C Serum

In retrospect, this item should not have been a surprise. Our Vitamin C Serum features three different versions of vitamin C that offer multiple benefits to your skin. Plus, it also features a good amount of hyaluronic acid as well. So, the sun induced spots and splotchy skin the harsh island sun might produce will be abated by this serum. Not to mention the antioxidants will help repair free radical damage. And perhaps, if you’re lucky, a miniscule amount of the vitamin C will completely absorb to help prevent scurvy?

The Also-Rans

There were a lot of close contenders. For example, our Hyaluronic Acid made it to fourth place. While our Retinol Serum also had a strong showing but, in the end, fell a little behind. And even though it was excluded, our SPF 30 Sun Protective Moisturizer kept creeping into the conversations – so it deserves an honorable mention.
