Winter is coming

As the temperature drops in the Northeast where Reviva Labs is located, we’re reminded to start protecting our skin from the harsh conditions of winter. Moving from dry heated interior spaces to the cold blustery outdoors can strip away moisture from your skin. Make sure you’re rehydrating your skin frequently.

Hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate some more.

We’re always fans of moisturizing regularly. But during the cold winter months it becomes even more critical. The air both indoors and outdoors is usually drier, which can result in dry, dull looking skin.

Hydrate from the inside and the outside.

Exacerbating the dryness problem is the fact that we tend to drink less water during the winter months. So, while you may not crave water in the winter like you do during the hot summer months, it’s important to be sure that you’re consuming enough fluids during the winter.

Bonus: Drinking plenty of water is not only good for your skin; it’s good for your overall health. Staying well hydrated can help your body defend itself against illness.

Drinking plenty of water is beneficial, but it’s not the whole picture. You also need to hydrate on the outside; both to add moisture and to protect the skin’s natural barrier to keep moisture in.
